A small overview of some events of the AD/HD Awareness Week 2009

ADHS-Deutschland
There was a webchat on Wednesday from noon to 8 o'clock in the evening with experts: medical doctors, teacher, self-support; we answered nearly 400 questions!
On the weekend we had a symposium and training with nearly 100 people; the main focus was on possibilities to diagnose and treat the whole family at one place.

ADHD-Hungary
Almost 300 people have visited our professional program. In the morning we started with introducing the declaration of ADHD. Everyone agreed really much. In the afternoon an impressive discussion was set round the table: between the leading professionals (from education, professional organizations, ministries, Hungarian Pedagogic Association, school manager, national professional association, university professors) and parents, about the responsibility of the society and the to dos. We’ve had an efficient, successful day.
Saturday, we held our family day in a beautiful shiny summertime: there were many associations present, books, games, clowns, performance of the Zoo, information stand of the „Neuro and biofeedback for the equal chances of handicapped people public foundation”, a fantastic drama teacher, capoeira boys … it was great fun! The ADHD-weekend was a real success, even if we had waited for more families to come, but there are more people who are interested in our activities year by year, and the collaboration of the professionals is also even wider.

The congress was a success: for parents, for the children, for teachers …
Dr. Geoff Kewley used the AD/HD Declaration of ADHD-Europe as the red line in his presentation. All other speakers were surprised by the motivated and enthousiastic public.

En outre, les 5 conférences étaient visitées par 30 personnes en moyenne, ce qui est beaucoup au Luxembourg. Nous avions en plus 3 interviews Radio et de nombreux articles dans les journaux.
